Service request to technician-ready job record
Where work can fragment
Phone, form, text, and email requests may reach dispatch without a verified site, contact, equipment, symptom, access note, or promised next step. Staff then clarify and re-enter details before a technician can use the record.
What I would ask on the phone
On the phone I ask how work comes in, what happens to the odd ones, and what your field-service software and CRM already do that nobody turned on. Most of the time part of the quote is a setting you are already paying for. If a fix really needs building, I will say so and tell you roughly what that means.
What stays with professionals
A CSR or dispatcher verifies the record and sets urgency. Qualified staff retain diagnosis, code interpretation, safety direction, scope, estimates, pricing, and service decisions. No draft becomes a dispatch instruction or customer commitment without human review.
